Well someone needs to keep the elves from being too mischevious! Esther manages operations and development, and perhaps most importantly, enforces Tea At Three! She’s the ‘gluey’ bit keeping us all in place, mostly.

Chief Executive Elf
CEO, Director and one of the minds behind Borrow Don’t Buy, Rob supplied many of the things to start the library, quietly makeing sure everything runs smoothly. As our guardian we give him our problems and he makes them go away…
Mia
Library and GEO Elf
Our librarian and GEO aficionado Mia takes care of daily borrows and pairs people with devices. She supplies us with random facts about the items, one of the faces you see when you come for your borrows, and loves a selfie, so do indulge her!
Neil
Volunteer Elf
Neil is our turn his hand to anything volunteer, he helps out with all sorts, from item maintenance, to our GEO project, and daily Library running! He brings a wealth of work and volunteer experience, so is helping us shape our new Volunteer programme!

Director Elf
Another of our Directors, and involved since very the beginning, Jess has been integral to building our communications and brand. Now we rely on her expertise in the development of the team and business on our board of Directors.
Kira
Sales and Outreach Elf
Kira is our Sales and Outreach Elf, making our eBay and Library sales run smoothly and ensuring you all know about how you can get involved with BDB and benefit from our services through our socials, events and volunteering!
Ducky
Mascot Elf
Ducky is our much loved mascot. Iconic and mysterious, nobody knows where he came from, why or when but he’s here and not going anywhere!
Rob
Thingy Master Elf
Rob is our volunteer thingy fixer who is armed with super detailed knowledge of many random and varied ‘things’. If we have a problem, Rob will fix it… he’s been supporting our mission of keeping things in circulation since 2019!

Director Elf
Our fountain of knowledge on all things Borrow Don’t Buy, Sol is one of our Directors and the other brain behind establishing BDB. Her hard work laid our fabulous foundations in 2017, and since has been doing the boring but important things!
